Streaming service Hulu, which also produced the TV series adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale, announced in 2022 that it would also adapt The Testaments into its own TV series after The Handmaid's Tale's final season concluded. The adaptation, in which Ann Dowd reprised her role as Aunt Lydia, premiered on April 8, 2026.
