Ending was predictable but enjoyable nonetheless. The villain is a little too cartoonish and lacking in depth but that makes sense for YA.

It's a necessary book to push along the plot but it's far from a good read. A lot of boring travel chapters, too many characters, too little exposition. The first two books of the series were great reads, and I'll keep going with the next book to finish it off, but I wasn't impressed with this particular title.

Brilliant, dark, thought-provoking.

Slow-moving and trope-y but I like the universe. The characters are too one-dimensional, but the dystopian sci-fi setting is unique enough to make up for the less-than-unique characters.

Finally, we have the answer to the question we were all asking, what if Cinderella were a cyborg? I don't enjoy sci-fi, and this is very far from fantasy, but wow this is actually good? Meyer's plotlines are unique, really enjoying storylines that have never been done before.

So remarkably clever I had to rate it before even getting to the 7th chapter.

I didn't even like the original Alice in Wonderland books, barely tolerated the movies, but this is so effortlessly witty and clever.

DNF @ 5%, too slow-moving & preachy. Might come back to it later.
