This book crosses a lot of genres - fastasy, romance, dystopian. It was pretty slow until about 40% in, and the romance wasn't until 80% in, and the dystopia didn't really come in much at all for the majority of the book.

Regardless, if you're willing to trek through the first 40%, the rest of the book is a solid 4. Characters were in-depth and it's easy to care about what happens to them. The dragons aren't overly involved but still plot-relevant. There's plenty of room for the story to grow so I'll definitely pick up the next book.
